Abstract
The invention relates to novel compounds of high antimicrobial activity of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is amino or a protected amino group, and R.sup.2 is carboxy or a protected carboxy group, and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A syn isomer of the compound of the formula:
- ##STR7## in which R.sup.1 is amino or a protected amino group, and
- R.sup.2 is carboxy or a protected carboxy group,
- and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
