Abstract
The invention relates to 1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(alkyl-1-piperazinyl)quinoline- 3-carboxylic acids of Formula (I), processes for their manufacture, compositions containing them and use of said compounds and compositions as antibacterial and/or feedstuff additives.
Claims16
A 1-Cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(alkyl-1-piperazinyl)quinoline- 3-carboxylic acid of the formula (I) ##STR16## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or alkyl which is optionally substituted by 1 to 2 hydroxyl and has 1 to 12 carbon atoms,
- R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 can be identical or different and represent hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, at least one of the radicals R.sup.2 to R.sup.5 denoting alkyl, and their pharmaceutically utilisable acid addition, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts and hydrates.
