Abstract
Substituted isoquinolines of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is lower alkoxy, n is the integer zero or 1, and A is ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl, halophenyl, lower-alkylphenyl or lower-alkoxyphenyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, are described. The compounds of formula I are useful in the treatment of cerebral and cardiac ischemias.
Claims11
A compound of the formula ##STR30## wherein n is the integer zero or 1, R is lower alkoxy, and A is ##STR31## wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl, halophenyl, lower-alkylphenyl or lower-alkoxyphenyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
A method of treating cerebral and cardiac ischemias which comprises administering an effective amount of a compound of the formula ##STR34## wherein R is lower alkoxy, and A is ##STR35## wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl, halophenyl, lower-alkylphenyl or lower-alkoxyphenyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
