Abstract
Synthetic antigens in which the principal antigenicity derives from synthetic peptide corresponding to the 130-160 region of the foot-and-mouth disease virus are described.
Claims4
An antigen comprising a foot-and-mouth disease virus mono-specific synthetic antigenic determinant peptide having about twenty amino acids corresponding to a twenty amino acid sequence of the foot-and-mouth disease virus protein VP.sub.1 in the 130 to 160 region.
