Abstract
According to the present invention, novel pyromellitate plasticizers are provided which comprise members selected from the group consisting of compounds of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and comprise members selected from the group consisting of iso-nonyl and iso-decyl groups.

Compounds of the formula:
- ##STR5## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of iso-nonyl and iso-decyl.
Compounds of the formula:
- ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each iso-nonyl.
Compounds of the formula:
- ##STR7## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each iso-decyl.
In plasticized poly vinyl chloride compositions, the improvement which comprises employing as the primary plasticizer at least one compound of the formula:
- ##STR8## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and comprise members selected from the group consisting of iso-nonyl and iso-decyl.
