Abstract
A class of naphthalene aminoalkylene ether and thioether compounds exhibiting pharmacological activity including anti-secretory and anti-ulcerogenic activity, pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds, and methods for the treatment of gastrointestinal hyperacidity and ulcerogenic disorders in mammals using said compositions are disclosed.

A compound of the formula ##STR93## wherein:
- b is 0 or 1;
- c is 2, 3, or 4;
- X is oxygen or sulfur;
- R.sub.1 is --NR.sub.2 R.sub.3 ;
- R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 together with the nitrogen to which they are attached form a heterocyclic ring of the formula --N(CH.sub.2).sub.d, where d is 4, 5 or 6, morpholinyl, pyrrolyl, imidazolyl, pyrazolyl or thiamorpholinyl;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
