Abstract
A composition comprising tyrosine and a carbohydrate is administered in amount to increase brain tyrosine levels.
Claims12
A composition which, when administered to an animal, effects an increase of brain tyrosine levels as compared to the administration of tyrosine alone, which consists essentially of an amount of tyrosine effective to increase brain tyrosine levels and a carbohydrate in an amount effective to cause insulin to be released in the animal.
The method of increasing brain tryosine levels in an animal, which comprises administering to the animal a composition consisting essentially of an amount of tyrosine effective to increase brain tyrosine levels and a carbohydrate in an amount effective to cause insulin to be released in the animal.
