Abstract
1-pyridine substituted quino-benoxazines having the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is halogen or hydrogen; R.sub.2 is a substituent; and R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a carboxy protecting group.
Claims11
A compound having the formula:
- ##STR8## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a carboxy protecting group;
- x is halogen or hydrogen;
- R.sub.2 is one or more groups seclected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, methylenedioxy, C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, halo-substituted C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, hydroxy-substituted C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, a group having the formula:
- --Y--R.sub.3
- wherein --Y-- is --O-- or --S-- and R.sub.3 is hydrogen of C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, and an amine group having the formula:
- ##STR9## wherein R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, wherein the 1-(4pyridyl) group is optionally substituted with one or more substituents independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, halogen, hydroxy, a group of the formula --Y--R.sub.3 and an amine of the formula:
- ##STR10## wherein R.sub.10 and R.sub.11 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, halo-substituted C to C.sub.6 alkyl and hydroxy-substituted C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
