Abstract
The invention relates to novel tropone derivatives, of antiinflammatory, analgesic and antirheumatic activity, of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, lower alkyl, or lower alkoxy, and R.sup.3 is hydrogen or acyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR5## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl,
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, and
- R.sup.3 is hydrogen or phenyl (lower) alkenoyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
