1H-Polyalkyl-phosphorinanes

A compound of the formula I ##STR11## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl;

• X is --O--, --S-- or a lone pair of electrons;
• Y is --O-- or --N(R.sub.3)-- wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl;
• n is 1 to 5 and
• A is C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl, phenyl, phenyl substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and hydroxy, C.sub.7 -C.sub.10 aralkyl substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and hydroxy, C.sub.2 -C.sub.10 alkylene, cyclohexylene, C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 arylene substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, N.sub.3-5 -valent phenyl or cyclopentyl, pyridinyl, thienyl, picolyl, pyrrolidinyl, piperazinyl, pyrazinyl or piperidinyl.
