Abstract
A process for preparing a water-in-oil emulsion of an anionic polymer which comprises emulsion polymerizing an anionic monomer in a water-in-oil emulsion containing a mixture of anionic and nonionic surfactants.

A process for preparing a water-in-oil emulsion of an anionic polymer, which comprises:
- emulsion polymerizing an anionic monomer in a water-in-oil emulsion containing a mixture of an anionic sulfosuccinate surfactant and a nonionic surfactant.
