Abstract
A magnetic recording medium is described comprising a non-magnetic support layer, a magnetic layer and at least one layer of a high-molecular weight boron containing compound of the formula: ##STR1##

In a magnetic recording medium comprising a support having thereon a magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic powdery material,
- said magnetic recording medium comprising at least one layer containing a high-molecular compound having a boron-containing unit having the formula (I):
- ##STR6## wherein at least one of x.sup.1, x.sup.2, x.sup.3 and x.sup.4 has through an oxygen atom a linkage "-O--R-" with a polymer chain, and R is a divalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon residue.
