Abstract
A matrix having a surface which is manufactured from metal and which comprises a monolayer of an alkylmercaptan or a fluoroalkylmercaptan, as well as a method of manufacturing copies of synthetic resin from the matrix or copies comprising a coating layer of synthetic resin.
Claims5
A method of improving the removability of a body comprising a pattern-bearing synthetic resin surface from a matrix comprising a metal surface bearing the negative of said pattern and contacting said synthetic resin surface during formation of said pattern on said synthetic resin surface, said method comprising coating said metal surface with a monolayer of a releasing agent selected from the group consisting of alkylmercaptans and fluoroalkylmercaptans prior to contacting said metal surface with said synthetic resin surface.
