Abstract
There are provided acrylic plastic lenses having a wide range of refractive indices as well as excellent physical and optical properties by polymerization of specific acrylic monomers in the presence of a photopolymerization initiator and a thermal polymerization catalyst.
Claims3
A plastic lens obtained by polymerizing neopentyl glycol dimethacrylate with methoxy diethylene glycol methacrylate or diethylene glycol dimethacrylate, said polymerization being performed in the presence of a photopolymerization initiator and a polymerization catalyst which is methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, the transmittivity of said lens being at least 75%.
