Abstract
A miticidal composition comprising a water-soluble acidic high polymer electrolyte of branching crosslinked polymer having a plurality of carboxyl groups as active ingredient and an aqueous medium is effective for various spider mites without causing chemical injury.
Claims11
A miticidal composition consisting essentially of a water-soluble acidic high molecular weight branched and crosslinked polymer having a plurality of carboxyl groups as active ingredient and an aqueous medium as inert carrier, wherein the concentration of the active ingredient is at most 3000 ppm.
A method for controlling spider mites comprising applying to mites in their natural habitats a miticidally effective amount of a composition consisting essentially of a water-soluble branched crosslinked polymer having a plurality of carboxyl groups and a molecular weight of 500,000-4,000,000, and an aqueous carrier, wherein the concentration of the active ingredient is at most 3000 ppm.
