Abstract
Novel ergoline derivatives formed by reaction of an 8-carboxy ergoline with a carbodiimide and having hypotensive and antiprolatinic activity.
Claims4
Compounds of formula ##STR3## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group;
- R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom;
- R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group;
- R.sub.4 is an alkyl or an alkenyl group selected from methyl, allyl and propyl groups;
- and each of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 independently is an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a group of the formula (CH.sub.2).sub.n N(CH.sub.3).sub.2 in which n is 3 with the proviso that at least one of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 is said dimethylaminoalkyl group, and pharmaceutically acceptable addition salts with organic or inorganic acid thereof.
