Abstract
Poly(imide)-containing polymers suitable for use in molding or casting applications are formed by polymerization of an anhydride-containing precursor of the formula ##STR1## wherein Y is a divalent hydrocarbon group or a divalent hydrocarbon group containing oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, silicon, phosphorus or halogen atoms; R is phenyl or C.sub.1-10 alkyl; and X is an oligomer or polymer-forming reactive moiety with reactive nitrogen-containing polyfunctional comonomers.
Claims4
A poly(imide)-containing polymer consisting essentially of recurring units of the formula ##STR28## wherein:
- Y is a divalent hydrocarbon group or a divalent hydrocarbon group containing oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, silicon, phosphorus, or halogen atoms;
- and
- R is phenyl or C.sub.1-10 alkyl.
