Abstract
Vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate monomers are polymerized using free radical initiator consisting of t-Butylperoxypivalate and preferably in solvent consisting essentially of water, isopropyl alcohol, sec. butyl alcohol or mixtures thereof to produce vinyl pyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymer.

Process which comprises polymerizing a monomer mixture consisting essentially of N-vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate monomers in a reaction zone in the presence of free radical initiator consisting essentially of t-Butylperoxypivalate to form vinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymer.
