A preventive and treating agent for blood lipids abnormally and/or arteriosclerosis comprises a proteolytic enzyme as an effective ingredient.

A method of preventing or treating blood lipids abnormality comprising administering to a patient in need of such therapy an effective amount of pronase or serrathiopeptinase to prevent or treat said blood lipids abnormality.
