Abstract
A fluid composition comprised of a fluorocarbon refrigerant, a hydrocarbon oil, and an alkylene oxide additive compound represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group and R' is an alkyl group, wherein R and R' contain 6 or more carbon atoms. The additive improves the thermal resistance of the oil in the presence of the refrigerant.

A refrigerator oil composition, comprising:
- at least one oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils and synthetic oils;
- and
- an alkylene oxide additive compound represented by the general formula (I):
- ##STR3## wherein R is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, and R' is an alkyl group, wherein R and R' contain 6 or more carbon atoms.

- at least one oil selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil and a synthetic oil;
- and
- an alkylene oxide additive compound represented by the general formula (I):
- ##STR4## wherein R is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group and R' is an alkyl group, wherein R and R' contain 6 or more carbon atoms.
