A process of producing the 7.alpha.-methoxycephalosporin derivative represented by the general formula ##STR14## wherein R.sub.1 represents a carboxy group and R.sub.2 represents a sulfo group which comprises cultivating a strain belonging to the genus Streptomyces which is capable of producing the 7.alpha.-methoxy-cephalosphorin derivative shown by the formula ##STR15## reacting the resulting product with a D-aminoacid oxidizing enzyme produced by a Trigonopsis strain capable of producing said enzyme, and recovering the thus resulting product.
A process of producing the 7.alpha.-methoxycephalosporin derivative represented by the general formula ##STR16## wherein R.sub.1 represents a carboxy group and R.sub.2 represents a sulfo group which comprises cultivating a strain belonging to the genus Streptomyces which is capable of producing the 7.alpha.-methoxycephalosporin derivative shown by the formula ##STR17## said strain being selected from the group consisting of Streptomyces oganonensis Saito et Osono Y-G19Z, Streptomyces griseus, Streptomyces viridochromogenus, Streptomyces fimbriatus, Streptomyces halstedii, Streptomyces rochei, Streptomyces cinnamonensis, Streptomyces chartreusis, Streptomyces lactamdurans, Streptomyces lipmanii, Streptomyces clavuligerus, Streptomyces wadayamensis, Streptomyces jumonjinensis, Streptomyces heteromorphus, Streptomyces panayensis, and Streptomyces chartreusis SF-1623, reacting the resulting product with a D-aminoacid oxidizing enzyme produced by a Trigonopsis strain capable of producing said enzyme, and recovering the thus resulting product.
A process of producing the 7.beta.-(4-carboxybutyramido)-3-(p-hydroxycinnamoyloxymethyl)-7.alpha.-met hoxy-.DELTA..sup.3 -cephem-4-carboxylic acid represented by the formula ##STR18## which comprises cultivating a Streptomyces oganonensis Saito et Osono Y-G19Z strain belonging to the genus Streptomyces in the presence of p-hydroxycinnamic acid to produce the 7.beta.-(D-5-amino-5-carboxyvaleramido)-7.alpha.-methoxy-3-(p-sulfooxycinn amoyloxymethyl)-.DELTA..sup.3 -cephem-4-carboxylic acid shown by the formula ##STR19## and then reacting the last-mentioned compound with a D-aminoacid oxidizing enzyme produced by Trigonopsis variabilis and hydrolyzing the --OSO.sub.3 H group to an --OH group in any desired order.
