Abstract
Stable compositions of PGE and PGE-type compounds are achieved by dissolving these compounds in propylene glycol diesters of short chain fatty acids.
Claims33
A stable pharmaceutical composition of a PGE or PGE-type compound comprising a solution of said compound in a solvent comprising at least propylene glycol diester of short chain fatty acid.
A method for preparing a stable soft-shell gelatin composition of PGE or PGE-type compounds which comprises dissolving at least one of said compounds in a solvent comprising at least one propylene glycol diester of a short chain fatty acid and adding the mixture to a soft-shelled gelatin capsule.
A method for preparing a stable PGE or PGe-type pharmaceutical composition which method comprises dissolving a PGE or PGE-type compound in a propylene glycol dicaprylate or dicaprate solvent or mixtures thereof.
