## Abstract

A phenoxybutyltriazole compound represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is a halogen atom, a phenyl group or a 5-trifluoromethylpyridine-2-yloxy group; Y is a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group; Q is a >C.dbd.O group or a >CH--OH group; A is a >CH-- group or a nitrogen atom; and m and n are each an integer of 0 to 2, or a salt thereof, which is useful as an active ingredient for agricultural and horticultural fungicides, is disclosed. A process for producing the compound of the formula (I) is also disclosed.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A phenoxybutyltriazole compound represented by the following formula (III): ##STR8## wherein X" is a halogen atom; Y' is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; and Q is a >C.dbd.O group or a >CH--OH group, or a salt thereof.

The compound of claim 1, wherein the compound is 1-(4-fluorophenoxy)-1-(1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-3,3-dimethyl-4-(3-chloro-5-tri fluoromethylpyridine-2-yloxy)butan-2-one, or its salt.

The compound of claim 1, wherein the compound is 1-(4-chlorophenoxy)-1-(1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-3,3-dimethyl-4-(5-trifluoromet hylpyridine-2-yloxy)butan-2-one, or its salt.

The compound of claim 1, wherein the compound is 1-(4-chlorophenoxy)-1-(1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-3,3-dimethyl-4-(3-chloro-5-tri fluoromethylpyridine-2-yloxy)butan-2-one, or its salt.

An agricultural fungicidal composition which comprises a phenoxybutyltriazole compound or a salt thereof as an active ingredient and an agriculturally and horticulturally acceptable adjuvant, said phenoxybutyltriazole compound being represented by the following formula (III): ##STR9## wherein X" is a halogen atom; Y' is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; and Q is a >C.dbd.O group or a >CH--OH group, or a salt thereof.

The composition of claim 8, wherein the compound is 1-(4-fluorophenoxy)-1-(1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-3,3-dimethyl-4-(3-chloro-5-tri fluoromethylpyridine-2-yloxy)butan-2-one, or its salt.
