## CPC

- C09K 5/063: {Materials absorbing or liberating heat during crystallisation; Heat storage materials}
- C09K: MATERIALS FOR MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS, NOT PROVIDED FOR ELSEWHERE

## Abstract

A heat storage material comprises a composition of CaCl.sub.2.6H.sub.2 O for preventing a crystallization of CaCl.sub.2.4H.sub.2 O and 0.01 wt. % or more of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of KCl, RbCl, NaCl, NaF, Na.sub.3 AlF.sub.6 and other double salts of NaF.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A heat storage material which comprises a composition of CaCl.sub.2.6H.sub.2 O modified for preventing a crystallization of CaCl.sub.2.4H.sub.2 O and 0.01 to 3 wt.% of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of KCl, RbCl, NaCl, NaF, NaMgF.sub.3, NaYF.sub.4, NaY.sub.3 F.sub.10 and NaThF.sub.6.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The heat storage material according to claim 1 wherein said composition modified for preventing a crystallization of CaCl.sub.2.4H.sub.2 O comprises CaCl.sub.2 hydrate having water content at a molar ratio of more than 6.0 and less than 6.14 based on CaCl.sub.2.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1, 2)

The heat storage material according to claim 1 or 2 wherein said composition modified for preventing a crystallization of CaCl.sub.2.4H.sub.2 O further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of CaBr.sub.2.6H.sub.2 O and MgBr.sub.2.6H.sub.2 O.
