Benzopyrane and benzothiopyrane derivatives useful as anti-mycotic agents

A compound of formula I:

• wherein
• X represents oxygen or sulphur,
• each R.sub.1 represents independently hydrogen or methyl,
• R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent independently hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy,
• R.sub.2 and R.sub.5 represent independently hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or a group of formula II:
• ##STR2## wherein R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 represent independently hydrogen or lower alkyl,
• R.sub.9 represents lower alkyl and
• R.sub.11 represents a group of formula IIa, IIb, IIc or IId, ##STR3## wherein R.sub.12 represents hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy,
• at least one of R.sub.13, R.sub.14 and R.sub.15 represents alkyl and the others represent hydrogen or alkyl, or R.sub.14 together with either R.sub.13 or R.sub.15 forms a C.sub.3-6 methylene bridge and
• R.sub.16 represents lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or .alpha.-hydroxy lower alkyl;
• and
• R.sub.6 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl or a group of formula II, whereby one and only one group of formula II is always present as R.sub.2, R.sub.5 or R.sub.6 ;
• or an acid addition salt thereof.
