Abstract
A process for the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride, in the presence of a redox catalyst system consisting of a peroxyester or diacyl peroxide and an isoascorbic acid ester of a carboxylic acid.

A process for the preparation of polymers and copolymers of vinyl chloride, which consists in suspension polymerization in the presence of a redox catalyst system consisting of a peroxygen compound selected from the class consisting of peroxyesters and diacyl peroxides, and a 6-O-alkanoylisoascorbic acid as a reducing agent.
