A polymeric composition comprised of a mixture of an acetylene-terminated polymer and an hydroxy-substituted, polynuclear, aromatic derivative as a cure retarding additive.

A curable polymeric composition composed of a mixture of a major amount of an acetylene-terminated polymeric resin and a minor amount of a cure retarding additive selected from the group consisting of napthol, napthalenediol, monohydroxyanthraquinone, dihydroxyanthraquinone and 2-chloro-1, 4-dihydroxybenzene.
