Abstract
Alloys of Ce with transplutonium metals such as Am, Cm, Bk and Cf have properties making them highly suitable as sources of the transplutonium element, e.g., for use in radiation detector technology or as radiation sources. The alloys are ductile, homogeneous, easy to prepare and have a fairly high density.
Claims14
An alloy consisting essentially of 1 to 99 wt % of Ce and 99 to 1 wt % of Am, Cm, Bk or Cf.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
