Abstract
A process for removing water from butylene oxides which comprises liquid extraction of crude butylene oxides with a solvent comprising acyclic, paraffinic hydrocarbons having from 7 to 9 carbon atoms per molecule.

A process for removing water from crude butylene oxides which comprises liquid extraction of a water-containing, crude butylene oxide with a solvent consisting essentially of acyclic, paraffinic hydrocarbons having from 7 to 9 carbon atoms to remove water in an aqueous raffinate and recovering an organic extract comprising butylene oxide oxide and solvent.
