Abstract
2-Chloro-4,5-disubstituted-thiazoles have been found to be effective in reducing herbicidal injury to sorghum plants due to the application thereto of acetanilide and thiocarbamate herbicides.
Claims8
Sorghum seed, the plants grown from which are resistant to injury by a thiocarbamate or acetanilide herbicide, comprising crop seed coated with a safening effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR9## where R is equal to halogen, hydroxy, lower alkoxy, or benzyloxy, R.sub.1 is lower alkyl, halo (lower) alkyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by one to three groups, which may be the same or different, selected from the group consisting of halogen, lower alkyl, trifluoromethyl and cyano.
