Abstract
Novel 1,4-di(substituted amino)-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinones wherein the substituents are alkylamino alcohol and/or alkyl cyclicamide and their pharmacologically acceptable acid-addition salts useful as antitumor and chelating agents are described.
Claims20
An anthraquinone of the formula ##STR9## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition salt thereof, wherein:
- ##STR10## R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently selected from hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbons;
- Z.sup.1, Z.sup.2 and Z.sup.3 are each independently selected from hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 2 carbons;
- and n is 0 or 1 and m is 0 or 1.
