Abstract
An improved warhead of the type having at least one shaped charge is formed by the shaped charge or charges being positioned within the warhead so that the longitudinal axis of the charge forms an angle of 15 to 50 degrees with respect to the axis of the warhead in its stabilized in-flight attitude.
Claims31
In an anti-tank warhed for missiles of the type having at least one shaped charge, the improvement comprising said shaped charge being positioned within said warhead with its longitudinal axis directed downward forming an angle .phi. of 15 to 50 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the warhead in a vertical plane, and the shaped charge being large enough to at least substantially span the inner diameter of the warhead.
In an anti-tank warhead for missiles of the type having at least one shaped charge, the improvement comprising said shaped charge being positioned within said warhead with its longitudinal axis being directed downward forming an angle .phi. of 20 to 50 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the warhead in a vertical plane, and the shaped charge being large enough to at least substantially span the inner diameter of the warhead.
