Abstract
A primer composition for portland cement concrete comprising the reaction product of polyphosphoric acid and an alcohol.

A method of treating portland cement concrete which comprises first applying to the surface of the concrete a liquid comprising the reaction product of polyphosphoric acid and an alcohol and then applying to the primed surface an acid curable thermosetting resin.
