Abstract
A method of manufacturing CF.sub.4 and/or C.sub.2 F.sub.6 characterized by employing a mixed gas of tetrafluoroethylene and carbon dioxide at a mol ratio of less than 4:1 and heating it to a temperature exceeding 900.degree. C.
Claims2
A method of manufacturing CF.sub.4 and C.sub.2 F.sub.6 which comprises heating tetrafluoroethylene and carbon dioxide at a mol ratio of TFE to CO.sub.2 in the range of 3:1 to 1:10 at a temperature in the range of 1100.degree. C. to 1300.degree. C. and separating the resulting products.
