Abstract
A key holder which includes a body and a key pivotably mounted on the body and movable between an operating position in which the key is disposed outside of the body and a non-operating position in which the key is housed within the body. The key holder may also include a biasing member for maintaining the key at the operating position thereof or the non-operating position thereof and the key may include a stopper member disposed thereon which is engageable with the body to maintain the key at the non-operating position thereof.
Claims8
A pendant type key holder comprising:
- a body having a predetermined thickness and having a hollowed out portion formed therein, said body further comprising a thick upper portion;
- a key pivotably mounted on said body and movable between an operating position in which the key is disposed outside said body and a non-operating position in which the key is housed within said body;
- a pin member connected to said thick upper portion of said body for pivotably mounting said key to said thick upper portion of said body;
- and
- means for supporting said body at said upper portion, wherein the key and said body rotate into coincident vertical planes, and wherein said key has an outer edge surface configuration including a serrated portion and wherein the edges of said hollowed out portion of said body closely correspond to said outer edge surface configuration of said key, including said serrated portion.
A pendant type key holder comprising:
- a key extending in a first direction and having a first and second aperture formed therein along an axis transverse to said first direction;
- and
- an elongated planar tubular frame have first and second adjacent end portions disposed within said first and second apertures, respectively, and extending along said axis for pivotably supporting said key so as to be movable between an operating position and a non-operating position, whereby gravity tends to cause said key and said frame to rotate into coincident vertical planes and wherein said key may be rotated about said first direction by applying rotational forces to said end portions of said frame.
A pendant type key holder comprising:
- a key of predetermined thickness having an aperture formed therein;
- a body of said predetermined thickness having a hollowed out portion within which said key is positioned in a non-operating position, such that in said non-operating position, said key lies within the plane of said body;
- and
- a pin member engaging said aperture in said key and pivotably supporting said key from said body, wherein said key has an outer edge surface configuration, and wherein the edges of said hollowed out portion of said body closely correspond to said outer edge surface configuration of said key.
