Abstract
A heat-developable photosensitive material is described comprising a heat-developable photosensitive layer containing at least an organic silver salt, a photocatalyst, and a reducing agent, wherein the improvement is an antihalation layer comprising a light bleachable colored composition composed of at least (1) a photosensitive halogen-containing compound, and (2) a merocyanine dye, provided on the opposite side of said heat-developable photosensitive layer with respect to the side intended for imagewise exposure.
Claims13
A heat-developable photosensitive material is described comprising a heat-developable photosensitive layer containing at least an organic silver salt, a photocatalyst, and a reducing agent, wherein the improvement is an antihalation layer comprising a light bleachable colored composition composed of at least (1) a photosensitive halogen-containing compound, and (2) a merocyanine dye, provided on the opposite side of said heat-developable photosensitive layer with respect to the side intended for imagewise exposure, said photosensitive halogen-containing compound (1) forming a halogen radical or hydrohalogenic acid by light decomposition thereof and said photosensitive halogen-containing compound being selected from the group consisting of:
- compounds represented by Formula (III) ##STR34## wherein D represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, which may be substituted with halogen atoms, or an aryl group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3;
- and
- compounds represented by Formula (IV) ##STR35## wherein W represents a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted naphthyl group, wherein the phenyl group may be substituted with halogen atoms, nitro group, a cyano group, an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or the phenyl group has the structure ##STR36## the number of substituents is 1 or 2 in the case of halogen atoms, and is 1 in other cases, X represents hydrogen, an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or phenyl group, Y represents a halogen atom, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3.
