Abstract
Light-sensitive photographic material which contains as a uv-filter layer a non-light sensitive layer comprising a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein W is the residue of an oxazolone, isoxazolone or pyrazolone ring, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.5 are each hydrogen or halogen or --OCOR.sub.10 wherein R.sub.10 is an optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy, alkaryl or aryl, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each hydrogen or alkoxy. These compounds exhibit a very sharp cut-off point at about 400 nm.
Claims12
A light-sensitive photographic element which contains a silver halide emulsion layer and as a uv-filter layer a layer comprising a compound of the formula ##STR17## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.5 are each hydrogen or halogen or a group of the formula --OCOR.sub.10, wherein R.sub.10 is optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or is optionally substituted alkaryl or aryl,
- R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each hydrogen or alkoxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, W is a residue of the formula ##STR18## where R.sub.6 is optionally substituted phenyl, or W is a residue of the formula ##STR19## wherein R.sub.7 is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, aryl, carboxylic acid or alkoxycarbonyl, wherein the alkoxy moiety contains 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R.sub.8 is aryl or a residue of the general formula ##STR20## wherein R.sub.9 is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or optionally substituted aryl.
