Abstract
2-(N-Aryl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazolylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrolactones of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen, R.sup.4 is unsubstituted or substituted 1,2,3-thiadiazolyl and R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7, independently of one another, are hydrogen or methyl, and fungicides containing these compounds.

A 2-(N-aryl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazolylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrolactone of the formula ##STR6## where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl or halogen, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl or halogen, R.sup.4 is unsubstituted or halogen-substituted 1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-yl or -5-yl and R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7, independently of one another, are hydrogen or methyl.
A process for combating fungi, wherein the fungi or the objects to be protected against fungus attack are treated with a 2-(N-aryl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazolylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrolactone of the formula ##STR7## where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl or halogen, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl or halogen, R.sup.4 is unsubstituted or halogen-substituted 1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-yl or -5-yl and R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7, independently of one another, are hydrogen or methyl.
A 2-(N-aryl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazolylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrolactone selected from the group consisting of 2-(N-2,6-dimethylphenyl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-ylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrolacton e and 2-(N-2-methyl-6-chlorophenyl,N-1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-ylcarbonyl)-aminobutyrol actone.
