Abstract
3,5-di(t-butyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl- and 3,5-di(t-butyl)-4-hydroxybenzoyl-substituted furans have pharmacological activity as antiinflammatory agents.

Compounds of the formula:
- ##STR3## wherein L is a carbon-carbon bond between the benzene ring and the 2-position of the furan ring, or a carbonyl radical bonded to any available position of the furan ring, and R is hydrogen, chloro, bromo, iodo, or methyl.
