Abstract

Paper coating compositions contain at least one pigment, at least one binder, and as an insolubilizer for the binder an alkylated product of the reaction of glyoxal and a cyclic urea.

Dependent claims

A paper coating composition comprising a pigment, a binder, and as an insolubilizer for the binder the partially or wholly alkylated product of the reaction of approximately stoichiometric amounts of glyoxal and at least one cyclic urea.
