Abstract
Novel substituted pyrazinyl-1,2,4-oxadiazoles and processes for preparing the same. The compounds are useful in the treatment of edema and hypertension.
Claims8
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR5## wherein R is hydrogen or lower alkyl (C.sub.1-5),
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl (C.sub.1-5),
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl (C.sub.1-5),
- R.sup.3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl (C.sub.1-5),
- R and R.sup.1 can be joined to form with an alkylene group of from 2-4 carbon atoms,
- R.sup.4 is lower alkyl (C.sub.1-5)
- X is halo, cyano or phenyl, and
- Y.sup.- is chloride, bromide or iodide, or a suitable anion.

- ##STR6## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl;
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or methyl;
