Abstract

Cinnamamides of formula (I), ##STR1## wherein X is fluoro, chloro, bromo, iodo or trifluoromethyl and R is branched alkyl, have anticonvulsant properties.

Dependent claims

The method of treating or prophylaxis for convulsions in a mammal comprising the administration to said mammal of an anticonvulsant effective, non-toxic amount of a compound of trans3-chloro-N-isobutylcinnamamide.
