Abstract
A method of isomerization is disclosed which converts the anti isomer of 1-isopropylsulfonyl-2-amino-6-(.alpha.-hydroxyiminobenzyl)benzimidazole to the syn isomer using photolysis.
Claims4
A method of isomerization which comprises irradiating the anti isomer of 1-isopropylsulfonyl-2-amino-6-(.alpha.-hydroxyiminobenzyl)benzimidazole in an organic solvent with a light source, which has a monochromatic wavelength of at least 280 nm to about 350 nm, to form the syn isomer of 1-isopropylsulfonyl-2-amino-6-(.alpha.-hydroxyiminobenzyl)benzimidazole.
