Abstract
A novel class of chemical compounds useful as pesticides consists of N-alkylsulfonyl-, N-arylsulfonyl-, and N-aminosulfonylaminosulfinylcarbamate esters. The preparation of these compounds and their formulation to control insects are exemplified.
Claims44
Carbamates having pesticidal activity of the formula:
- ##STR8## where X is selected from the group consisting of ##STR9## where R is selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbyl group containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a heterocyclic group selected from the class consisting of benzothienyl, furanyl, benzofuranyl and 1,3-benzodioxolyl, and the >C.dbd.N--group;
- R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbyl group containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms;
- R' is an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms;
- R.sub.2 is an alkyl or aryl group, containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms;
- and R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.2 " are alkyl groups containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.2 " together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached constitute the atoms necessary to complete a 5 to 6 membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, or morpholine, and R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.2 " can be the same or different.
Carbamates having pesticidal activity selected from the class having the formulae:
- ##STR10## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbyl group containing from 1to 12 carbon atoms, a heterocyclic group selected from the class consisting of benzothienyl, furanyl, benzofuranyl and 1,3-benzodioxolyl, and the >C.dbd.N--group;
- R.sub.1 and R' are alkyl groups containing from 1 to 4carbon atoms;
- R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, phenyl and alkylphenyl, of from 1 to 10 carbon atoms;
- and R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.2 " are alkyl groups containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.2 " together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached constitute the atoms necessary to complete a 5 to 6 membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, or morpholine.
2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethylben zofuranyl-7N-(N'-2-toluene-sulfonyl-N'-methylaminosulfinyl)-N-methylcarbama te.
S-methyl-N-[N'-(N"-benzenesulfonyl-N"-methylaminosulfinyl)-N'-methylcarbam oyloxy]thioacetimidate.
S-methyl N-[N'-(N"-methanesulfonyl-N"-ethylaminosulfinyl)-N'--methylcarbamoyloxy]th ioacetimidate.
2,3-dihydr o-2,2-dimethylbenzofuranyl-7N-(N'-dibutylaminosulfonyl-N'-methylaminosulfin yl)-N-methylcarbamate.
S-methyl N-[N'-(N"-dibutylaminosulfinyl-N"-methylaminosulfinyl-N'-methylcarbamoylox y]thioacetimidate.
