Abstract
This invention discloses novel 1-oxo-5H-pyrimidol[2,1-c][1,4]benzoxa(or thia)zinc-2-carboxylic acid lower alkyl esters, derivatives thereof, process for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions thereof and methods for using the compounds. The compounds of this invention are useful in the treatment of anaphylactic reactions and allergic conditions in a mammal.

A compound of formula I ##STR7## in which R.sup.1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, halo, lower alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy, nitro or trifluoromethyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, halo, nitro or trifluoromethyl;
- R.sup.3 is lower alkyl;
- and X is oxygen;
- or a therapeutically acceptable basic addition salt of the compound of formula I in which R.sup.1 is carboxy and R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and X are as defined herein.
