Abstract
A low temperature method of calcining a zeolitic catalyst and the product of the method, the method comprising reducing the water content of the catalyst to less than 1.5 wt. % by contacting the catalyst with a water-miscible organic fluid and thereafter calcining the catalyst at a temperature of less than about 1200.degree. F.

A low temperature method of calcining a zeolitic catalyst having a water content greater than about 1.5 wt.%, which comprises reducing the water content of said catalyst to less than about 1.5 wt.% by contacting said catalyst with a water-miscible organic fluid, and thereafter calcining said catalyst at a temperature of less than about 1200.degree. F.
A zeolitic catalyst having a water content of less than about 1.5 wt.% prepared by contacting a zeolitic catalyst having a water content of greater than aboit 1.5 wt.% with a water-miscible organic fluid, and thereafter calcining said zeolitic catalyst at a temperature of less than about 1200.degree. F.
