Abstract
A method of producing improved starch, which comprises subjecting starch having a water content of not more than 50% to a smoking treatment.
Claims6
A method of producing a smoked starch, which comprises:
- a. preparing a starch having a water content of not greater than 50%, and a pH in the range of from 9 to 11;
- and
- b. subjecting said starch to a smoking treatment.
A method of producing a smoked starch, which comprises:
- a. subjecting starch having a water content of not more than 50% to a smoking treatment;
- and
- b. adjusting the pH of said smoked starch to the range of from 4 to 7.
