A composition for the abhesive coating of metallic cooking surfaces composed of a heat-curable polysiloxane resin, based on the silicone resin, and 0.05 to 4 weight percent of a compound having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and represent a methyl or phenyl residue, with the proviso that at least 80 mole percent of these residues are methyl residues, R.sup.3 are the same or different and represent a residue or several residues of the group (a) alkyl residues with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, (b) phenyl residues, (c) residues which are capable of reaction with the condensable groups of the curable polysiloxane resin, wherein at least one residue R.sup.3 has the meaning of (c), x is 0 or a number greater than 0. The composition forms coatings which are durably abhesive and possess excellent mechanical resistance under conditions of use.
