Abstract
Triphenylphosphine is produced in a high degree of yield by bringing pressurized hydrogen into contact with a triphenylphosphine dihalide dissolved in a solvent consisting of at least one member selected from monochlorobenzene and dichlorobenzenes.

A method for producing triphenylphosphine comprising reacting, a triphenylphosphine dihalide with pressurized hydrogen in a solvent consisting of at least one member selected from the group consisting of monochlorobenzene and dichlorobenzenes.
