Abstract
Ester such as 3,6,9-trioxaundecane-1,11-bis(3-n-dodecylthiopropionate) when combined with conventional free amine antioxidants such as N,N'-diphenylparaphenylenediamine or with polymer bound antioxidants such as N-(4-anilinophenyl) methacrylamide produce improved antioxidant systems for SBR and NBR type polymers.
Claims3
A compound having the structure ##STR5## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl and wherein R.sup.1 is a polyalkyl glycol ether radical having the following structure:
- --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --O).sub.n.spsb.1 CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --
- wherein n.sup.1 is 1-7 and R.sup.2 is a primary alkyl radical having from 1-24 carbon atoms.
3-oxapentane-1,5-bis(3-n-dodecylthiopropionate).
3,6-dioxaoctane-1,8-bis(3-n-dodecylthiopropionate).
